Northampton Township Fire Prevention Code Inspection, Test, and Maintenance Check List

The Northampton Township Office of the Fire Marshal is required by section I03 of the Fire Prevention Code to conduct Fire Safety Code Inspections of all buildings/spaces within the Township of Northampton for compliance with the applicable sections of the code.

The intent of this check list is to assist you with the required documentation of inspections & tests of the Fire Safety Equipment (as applicable for your building) available at the time of inspection.

Note that some equipment has annual requirements; other have monthly, which must be documented.

Please consult with your fire protection contractors and/or this office if assistance or clarification is needed. In addition to the required inspection & tests reports, the following are some of the items that will be inspected during the inspection process: exit doors, sprinkler head obstruction, electrical cord use, electrical panel access, and door locking arrangements.

The Northampton Township Office of the Fire Marshal strives for voluntary compliance with the Township Fire Prevention Code and will work with you to achieve compliance with any issues discovered.
