Department Overview
The department is responsible for the following:
- sweeping roads
- mowing detention basins and open space islands
- maintenance of township buildings
- maintenance of township vehicles and equipment
- repaving roads
- lining highway lanes
- painting pedestrian crossing and "caution" markings
- repairing and installing rails
- erecting street and regulatory signs
- repairing street lights and traffic signals
- maintaining storm sewers
- patching pot holes
- filling sink holes
- removing fallen trees and limbs from roads
- spreading salt for ice control on roads
- removing snow from roads
