Dear Northampton Township OCC Taxpayer:
Just today I received notification from Diamond Communication Solutions, an OCG Connect affiliated entity (“OCG”), that there was an error in the tax bill you received for Council Rock School District’s Occupational Tax.
This error was not in any way attributable to any action or inaction taken by me or any staff member of the Northampton Township Tax Office. In fact, since OCG performs this same service for other Bucks County municipalities, there are other local municipalities who are also impacted by this error.
Please know that OCG is working quickly and diligently to rectify this matter by re-issuing the Occupational Tax bills. Please do not pay the tax reflected in the notice you received on or about July 1, 2021. Please pay the amount that will be contained in the amended tax bill. It is my understanding that OCG will designate the new, amended tax bill in a way that you will know it is for the corrected amount.
There are a handful of residents that already remitted their Occupational Tax payment. Please be advised that my office will be returning the payment you made, so that you can pay the new amount reflected in the corrected tax bill. We are prohibited from processing multiple checks/money orders and the amount due must be reflected in one payment.
I apologize for any inconvenience you may encounter due to this error. I am honored to serve the taxpayers of Northampton Township and providing the highest quality services is my utmost priority. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the tax office or me directly (215-603-5955).
Thank you for taking the time to read this important message.
