The Bucks County Department of Health (BCDH) is proposing to conduct spray and larviciding treatments on Monday, August 14, 2023.

The county will be conducting adult ULV truck-mounted treatments in Newtown, Northampton, and Wrightstown Townships due to the presence of West Nile Virus observed in mosquitoes within these areas. The areas of the proposed spray mostly incorporate Tyler State Park and Wrightstown Fairgrounds. The spray will begin at approximately 8 PM.

Prior to the spray activities, the county will conduct granular larviciding applications via a backpack sprayer in Northampton Township and Wrightstown Township.

Please note that sprays occur due to a concentration of mosquitoes carrying West Nile Virus. All sprays are strategically planned to provide a logistical and effective approach to reducing those populations.
