The Northampton, Bucks County Municipal Authority (NBCMA) has announced that its annual spring flushing of fire hydrants and water mains will run from Monday, April 6, 2026, through Monday, April 27, 2026.
Flushing operations will take place in neighborhoods throughout the service area on a rotating schedule. Residents can check specific dates for their area by visiting the authority’s website. Click Here.
During the flushing period, customers may experience temporary water discoloration or reduced pressure. Officials say these conditions are expected to be brief. As a precaution, residents are advised to limit water use for drinking, cooking, and laundry between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on days when flushing is occurring nearby.
If discoloration occurs, customers should run cold water from a faucet for several minutes until it clears. Those who continue to experience issues or have questions are encouraged to contact the municipal authority office at (215) 357-8515.
