Council Rock School District
UPDATED 11/06/19 - Tabled
In an effort to be proactive with our community, we wanted to advise you that Council Rock School District has submitted two development proposals:
The School District is proposing to construct a new 25,591 square foot building for the Sloan School on an approximately 38-acre site adjacent to the existing Richboro Middle School on the south side of Upper Holland Road, which is 250 feet east of its intersection with Second Street Pike. The plan also proposes 73 parking spaces.
The School District is proposing a turf sports field on the approximately 18-acre site along the east side of Holland Road, 400 feet north of its intersection with Upper Holland and Middle Holland Roads. In addition to the turf field, the plan proposes 3 - 100 square foot ticket booths, future bleachers, lighting, and a future 2,875 square foot building for concessions, restrooms, team rooms, and storage.
Currently, the plan is under review by the Township staff and consultants. The Township Planning Commission will consider the plan at their meeting on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 7:30 PM. In addition, the Board of Supervisors are scheduled to consider the plan at their meeting on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 7:30 PM. All meetings will be held at the Township building at 55 Township Road, Richboro, PA.
