Northampton Township, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming bridge repair work scheduled to begin in January 2026 on the structure carrying Route 232 (Second Street Pike) over a branch of Neshaminy Creek in Northampton Township, Bucks County.
Road Closure and Detour Information
From Tuesday, January 6, through Friday, January 30, Route 232 (Second Street Pike) will be closed to through traffic 24 hours a day between Twining Road and Sacketts Ford Road. During the closure, motorists will be detoured using Route 332 (Newtown Richboro Road/Richboro Road), the Newtown Bypass (Route 413/Route 532), and Swamp Road.
Local access will be maintained. Drivers should plan for additional travel time, as traffic backups and delays are expected. All work is weather-dependent.
