What’s New
- The Commonwealth of PA, Bucks County, and Northampton Township have declared Disaster Emergencies.
- Heavy snow, sleet, and freezing rain will create dangerous to impossible travel conditions, with rapid accumulation.
- Roads are currently open but may become impassable with little notice.
Travel Advisory
- Avoid unnecessary travel and stay off roadways during the height of the storm.
- If travel is unavoidable, allow extra time and carry emergency supplies.
Snow Removal Reminders
- Ordinance 561: Street parking is prohibited during a winter storm and for 72 hours after the storm ends.
- Ordinance 213: Property owners, tenants, and occupants must clear sidewalks within 24 hours after snow/ice stops falling.
- It is unlawful to shovel or plow snow into Township roads or streets.
Safety Reminders
- Keep home appliance exhaust vents clear to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.
- Help the Fire Department by clearing snow 3 feet on all sides of fire hydrants.
Hydrant Clearing Contest
- Clear a hydrant near your home and email a photo of your team, your name, and the hydrant location to chief@ntfd.org to be entered to win a gift card.
Power Outage Preparations:
- Power outages are possible. Report outages to PECO via the app or call 1-800-841-4141.
- Never approach downed power lines. Visit www.ready.gov/power-outages for tips.
