
On June 2nd and June 3rd, the Northampton Township Police department responded to numerous theft from motor vehicle complaints as well as three vehicle thefts which occurred during the early morning hours of each day. These thefts occurred predominantly in the Holland area of the township. Home video footage revealed that multiple people were involved in these thefts.
On June 3rd, an alert officer noticed two suspicious vehicles in the area of East Holland Road and Old Jordan Road at which time he attempted an investigatory stop however both vehicles fled the stop at a high rate of speed. One of the two vehicles was subsequently identified as having just been stolen from the Holland area of the township.
During the course of these investigations Paul Spavlik, 24, of Camden NJ was identified as being involved in these thefts. A felony arrest warrant for Theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property was subsequently issued for Spavlik. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
Additional evidence and video footage is being processed and reviewed in an attempt to identify additional actors involved in these thefts.
Anyone who observes suspicious activity is asked to not approach actors but are encouraged to dial 911 right away to report the activity.
